BOT, At this point there is now winner or loser in the next gen DVD format. There is simply not enough adoption taking place to rule either party out. It's going to take a couple of years before it is all sorted out. In the meanwhile, no company is experiencing great revenue gain from the next gen format war.

Do you think that industry insiders would have voted any different? Gears of War WAS the game of the year, there's simply no denying that. Sure, Oblvion and God of War 2 were great games as well, but were not Gears. XBOX 360 is console of the year, cause the Wii and PS3 don't have the great games or online service the 360 has right now. In a year from now it may be a different story, but I seriously doubt these results would change if it were industry votes compared to fan votes.
I cant' wait until school gets back in session, and these 10 year olds will be busy coloring and learning arithmetic instead of making silly fanboy comments.

Seriously, I've owned two PSP's and either time I wasn't impressed. The UMD novelty wore off on me quick. It's got a lot of features, but doesn't execute any of them well.
Don't even give the fanboy comments, cause I've owned all of Nintendo's handhelds as well, and sold all of those too.
I'm just not into handheld gaming. The closest thing I get to handheld gaming anymore is my laptop.

GTAIV on the 360 is seriously a no brainer. I have a PS3 and a 360, but I want the "full" version, which we all know will be on the 360 with the DLC. Also, there is NO example of any multi-platform game being better on the PS3, so ANY multi platform game I'll get will be on the 360.

Previous installments of CoD have been good, but not exactly what I liked. I prefer modern weapons and modern environments, so this "SHOULD" be right up my alley. Looking forward to the Beta, so it will relieve some of my impatience waiting for Halo 3.
I almost am wondering if MS is wanting to encourage some motion control game development in order to pave the way for a motion controller for the 360. Not sure why they would do this otherwise. Hmmmm?
I'm totally just playin'. I was just making some humor with the fact that they showed up earlier on this site promoting DOAX2 for the 360 and now they're promoting the PSP. I don't care what they promote as long as I can see more of them.

Well, they shouldn't review unfinished games at all. Get a finished game and then review it. Critics don't review movies that are missing the last half of it, and it shouldn't be any different with games. If Sony sent out unfinished copies early to be sure reviews made it out before the game did, then they shouldn't be shocked if the reviews are negative. Likewise, people reviewing a game shouldn't assume anything and should review what they have at that time...I don't care what game or compa...

I would think that Sony would want to drum up some hype around the rumble feature being added. That's why I'm confused that they would deny it. Is it possible that they really won't add rumble? I hope not.

I'm sure it's contractual. I'm sure T2 has worked with MS and Sony to confirm that it will be a simultaneous launch, regardless of when. Even if the 360 is done and PS3 is not, or vice versa, it wouldn't matter. They both gotta drop at the same time.
It just makes good business sense, but sucks for the gamers.
When the exec repeatedly says "technological issues" that certainly makes me think it's more of a Sony (Cell/BluRay) issues rather than an MS issue. There is nothing with MS hardware that would delay the development of this game, especially since it was stated that the PS3 version was a couple of weeks behind the 360. This isn't a fanboy thing, it's just common sense....the PS3 is a powerhouse of a system with a lot of NEW technology in it, so it's only logical that it would take mo...
Obviously the vast majority of consumers are still in the "last generation" when regarding game consoles. It will be interesting to see if those consumers would wait til the holidays to buy a next gen system and Madden 08, or if it will be perhaps their last "hoorah" on their last gen consoles. I'm saying this cause I expect for a lot of consumers to move to the next gen consoles this holiday.
